Divine Eros with Leah Chyten

The myth of Eros and Pscyhe is an archetypal story from classical mythology that depictes Eros, who personifies Love, launching arrows at the hearts of travellers. It tells the story of Eros' encounter with Psyche, who personifies the Soul, and the purification of passion that occurs during the merging with the Other. 

Eros is a powerful force in human life. An expression of love, eros is passionate, generative, and dynamically creative. Eros is the magnetic force of union; sexual union, the union of hearts, and mystical union. Being a powerful, primordial force, the awakening of eros opens us to beauty, dynamic creativity, and passion. Together we will deepen our understanding, experience and welcoming of this primordial life force.

Leah Chyten, a South Portland resident, is a spiritual teacher, psychotherapist and novelist. Her latest novel, Soul of the Mountain, has just been released. She enjoys adventures in creative imagination, walks by the ocean, and playing with grandchildren.
