In this lecture, we will explore Jung’s alchemical work with the Imagination to expand our ability to co-create healing states of consciousness.
Alchemists like Gerhard Dorn describe the Unus Mundus, an alchemical stage where duality dissolves, and the individual unites with the world soul. Jung showed how connecting with the Imagination grants access to these states. Dreams and the imaginal realms offer insight and initiation into visionary consciousness, where healing instincts align with the life force, guiding us through symptoms or disturbances toward coherence and growth.
Jung posited that at the psyche’s core lies a transcendental mystery. He introduced the psychoid archetype to describe the link between psyche and soma, encompassing the deep, evolutionary layers of consciousness and their connection to this mystery.
